changing brake discs on vauxhall corsa?
im changing the pads and discs on my wifes corsa b
i have done the pads and now want to change the discs but have run into a problem getting the 10mm bolts off the caliper carriers, i need to do this so i can swap the discs, but the blighters wont budge with an allen key alone! i have the 7mm caliper key which made light work of the caliper coming away and its so annoying as i have the disc off the hub but it wont go past the carrier without removal, anyone know of a better tool to use , maybe i could angle grind a 10mm hex/allen and put a piece inside a wrench or electric drill?
shouldnt they be bolts? rather than allen keys that hold the calliper to the shock assembly? I bought a 12 volt torque wrench. only 25 quid, plug into cigarette lighter and get your socket/allen key bit in, it winds up and hits it rather than constant pressure, this means you dont wreck the bolt and it can put out somethin like 250nM of torque... I use it all the time and it hasnt been beat yet.
