slayer/revo differences?
just wondering if there are any differences aside from the a arms, bumpers, and the body on the vehicles?
From the experts on the forums:
The Slayer is a 2.5 revo chassis with shorter a arms, push rods, and the drive shafts from the diff to the wheel is a lot shorter.
Slayer is a CORR truck, whereas the Revo is an MT. The slayer tends to roll a lot more that the Revo but thats just what CORR trucks do. The Slayer is a Revo chassis. So there really isn't too much difference.
Slayer would handle better on on-road while Revo handles better off road, is just where you gonna use your truck,if of road doing some nice air jumps then go with Revo. Slash is amazing then Slayer can't be bad as it's same thing but just nitro powered.
Same chassis - just different anodizing
Slayer had the same part numbers for the transmission gearing, except it had the Wide ratio (38t second gear / 13t-18t input gear) standard. (#5384 vs. #5385)
It has a 15/36 gearing combo. Everything else, except for the differentials, looks the same on both trucks.
Here is the slayer gearing compared to revo gearing (Borrowed pic from Over_revO)

HTH
The slayer gearing is the higher one.
