when pulling forward and pushing brake i hear a pop click and when i reverse and push the brake i hear a pop click in the front area. i change the clips for the front brake pads but still makes the same noise. had shocks, bushings and lower control arms replaced and same noise is there. can that be the steering shaft doing that or the engine cradle going bad? please contact me if you've had the problem and know the fix. thanks!
I was just responding to your question.. After spending a couple thousand dollars trying to get my Impala fixed I finally took it to the dealership. They injected some type of lock-tight into the 4 corners of the subframe and the noise went away. They said eventually I will need to get the subframe replaced but that what they did now will be a for now fix. So my advice to you is before spending any more money take it to the dealership. The labor is expensive.. But they work with those cars all of the time..
