How to Take Action on Your Child’s Sexual Abuse
Dealing with the actuality of having a sexually abused child can be harder than it sounds; while it’s easy to say “move on” or “move forward”, the steps to doing that isn’t always easy to take. As hard as it is to comprehend, sometimes these things can happen no matter how hard you try to prevent it; some parents may think they’ve been careless when in fact they haven’t been at all. Studies on humanistic therapy show that a lot of sexual abuse happen because predators know how to isolate and terrorize their victims, as follows, a lot of parents end up not knowing about the abuse because children are “coached” to hide it for the predators. Sandtray provides clients an active, nonverbal, indirect, and symbolic experience of rediscovering visions, hopes, and dreams.
Learning if your child has been sexually abused may be the tricky part because children don’t often volunteer the information to adults. At times, parents bring their children to therapy for several causes only to find out through the sessions that their children show signs of being sexually abused. Children don’t usually talk vocally what a sexual predator has done to them, so it’s up to parents to search for the signs. Behavioral modifications, physical signs of abuse, a fixation about sex, a compulsion to touch his or her private parts or those of his or her friends; all these can be indicators that your child has been sexually abused.
The thing is that these signs stated earlier could also be signs of other forms of abuse like verbal or physical abuse; the best way to determine what kind of help your child needs is to have your child evaluated. Your child may need therapy to help him or her confirm that sexual assault did happen; such therapies like play therapy can help therapists determine what you need to know. From there, you can proceed depending on what turns out with your child’s evaluation. Several pointers you can take to do this are:
- Make your investigation about what kind of therapy could be most useful for your child and get in touch with higly regarded therapists yourself. That’s a very normal thing to feel and at times the greatest resolution to make is not always the easiest. In rehabilitation, your child will make better sense of what had happened to him or her, and you might also be able to understand what you can do to help.
- Slowly but surely, reintegrate your child back to the setting which he or she found to be enjoyable before the abuse happened. It’s normal for your child to feel like being alone for a while, but after some time has passed, it’s important to go back to normal routine so that your child can recover better. Fear is the frequency of violence, and the less fear you put in your child’s heart, the easier it will be for your child to deal with the pain of being sexually abused.
- Make time for the family, even if you have a hectic work schedule. As a rule, parents are encouraged to participate in child therapy because of the nature of the child’s needs.
- It will also form a deeper bond between you and your child if you spend time with him or her especially during his or her therapy classes.
- Acquire radical steps towards protecting your child from his or her abuser, and from other abusers in the future by limiting access to the internet and creating other helpful household rules.
The path going to full emotional recovery is extensive and nobody said it would be easy, but it’s a road you and your child will have to take together in order for your child to become better.

Call up Hippie Tech.......if they can't help you (and they probably can) they can tell you if anyone else is able to. I know he was involved with Rock Shox in the early heydays of suspension, and I *think* he had some doings with Noleen as well but I can't remember for sure. I have an old Specialized/Rock Shox carbon fiber Judy FSX that he designed and he was able to help me out with some things way better than anyone at Rock Shox/Sram could. Give 'em a try.

Analysis: Euro bank troubles risk new emerging market jolt (Business Intelligence Middle East)
INTERNATIONAL. If European banks are forced to cut back lending to rebuild
shot balance sheets, the ensuing credit shock could hit developing countries
worldwide as much as those at the center of the eurozone storm.
