Save Your Money With Snow Socks Instead Of Snow Tires
It's really inevitable for individuals to drive a car along the driveways considering the fact that there are plenty of things and places to venture to. Whether it is rain or shine, or even snow, automobile drivers and motorists just simply can’t deny the fact that traveling on snow paved roads are the only option left to enable them to go through. Speaking of snow paved tracks; it really proves to be a real hazard to each and every driver and motorist on the streets. It is mainly of the fact that snow paved roads are usually slippery and contain less friction which could be a danger to every car drivers and motorists.
With that said, it could only be smart idea to end up with several methods of securing the protection on the road while driving on snow covered ones. And among these techniques is the use of snow tires. However, such type of tires costs more and are truly hassling to set up and change each time of the year. Therefore, as a way to cater the needs of employees for a less risky way of driving a car on snow with such a low price, snow socks are created.
Snow socks perform out the same with snow tires with regards to offering additional grip as well as protection for your driving. However, snow tire socks have a lot of advantages over snow tires. Mainly, snow tire socks are really simple and fast to set up considering that all you have got to do is just slide the socks over the automobile wheels more especially to the front row. Another good advantages of snow tire socks over snow tires is always that they costs less and are more preferable and affordable than the latter. Considering that snow tire socks are made of special fabric materials, it will make sure you of added traction force and secured safety upon driving over snow paved highways.
If we are to take a closer look at it, snow tire socks have become trendier these days when it comes to driving over snow covered roads. This is because of the lot of positive aspects it could offer to anyone. Now, should you choose, which would you want? Snow socks or snow tires?
Why the spokes of my front tires are much darker and dirtier than the rear ones?
Each time after car wash, the front tire spokes get dark and dirty in a week, while the rear ones never get dirty. I checked others' cars and didn't see the same situation. Is that because of the way I accelerate and break?
Sophie, Wish you would have added the year make and model of your car. Five major things cause more *brake dust and dirt to accumulate on your front wheels. #1. If you have a front wheel drive car, 80-85 % of the brake bias (stopping power) is done by the front brake calipers and brake pads. The pads, calipers and rotors are bigger on the front wheels than the rear. #2. The front braking system is required to slow down and stop the momentum of the transmission and axles. #3. There's more weight on the front end of the car to slow down and stop. #4. If someone ever has done a brake job on your car they may have used semi-metallic brake pads which are naturally more dirty than *ceramic brake pads. #5. The rear of the car is lighter, the pads, calipers and rotors are smaller than the front and only 20% of the braking done by the rear wheels.
I'll bet I know what you're thinking! Your mind is telling you if *equal braking power was being done on all four wheels there would be less brake dust in the front. The reason car manufacturers can't do this is during braking maneuvers, the lighter rear end of the car would cause the brakes to lock-up the rear wheels and you'd slide out of control!
Meanwhile back at the ranch, buy a spray bottle of Eagle Wire Spoke Cleaner and spray it on your *stone cold wheels before washing them off. This will make cleaning the wheels and tires a heck of a lot easier. I might add there hasn't been any asbestos in brake pads or brake shoes in the past 15 years.
What is quirky about the United States? (Marginal Revolution)
Via Joseph Burke, here is a long list of answers from foreigners. I enjoyed
many of them, how about this?: My Norwegian friend visiting right now says,
4700 kinds of toothpaste. Surprisingly clean big cities. Everyone complains
bitterly about the suckitude of government and is suspicious of it but they
all follow the rules anyway [...]
