For more than a decade, Gordon McCall’s Motorworks Revival party has kicked off the Pebble Beach weekend in style. The event brings together the who’s who of the automotive world, and guests are wined and dined alongside some of the world’s most impressive machinery. The display of automobiles was particularly exceptional this year with an incredible collection of supercars and priceless classic. Jim Glickenhaus was kind enough to bring out his one-off Pininfarina P4/5 that was displayed alongside a Ferrari Formula 1 car, and we were treated to a pair of Bugatti Veyrons as well as two Koenigsegg CCXs, not to mention a 1-of-20 Lamborghini Reventon. We were also able to make an interesting comparison of the brand new Corvette ZR1 and a Pratt and Miller C6RS that sat back to back. We made sure to take plenty of photographs, and you can browse through them in the high-resolution gallery below. See photos after the jump Continued

German tuner, JE Design, is known for specializing in VW Group models, but now announces they will start to include Porsche, starting with the Cayenne facelift.
With expertise that already encompasses the VW Touareg and Audi Q7, including the Cayenne was a natural transition, according to JE Design PR.
The styling program for the Porsche Cayenne (957 model) includes front fascia, LED daytime running lights, headlight masks, side sills, extended rear fascia with diffuser styling, “Shark Attack” roof fin and 22-inch wheels.
Other componenets include LED entry lights and a 35m lowered suspension via electronic lowering module. If your Cayenne isn’t equipped with the air suspension, JE Design offers a coilover suspension providing 30 to 70 mm drop.

Enough with the spy pics and the semi-official prototype shots; here are the first official images of the long-awaited Chevrolet Camaro production version. Although the car depicted here is wearing an eye-popping RS badge, the guys at Autoexpress’ Cartribe blog support that the Camaro will come in LS, LT and SS trims.
The same source states that the 2010 Camaro will be available with a 296 Hp 3.6-liter V6 engine or a 416 Hp 6.2-liter V8, combined with either a 6-speed manual gearbox or an automatic transmission. The Camaro features an all-independent suspension setup and a StabiliTrak stability control system that promises to keep an eye on the coupe’s buttocks. Braking power in the SS will be provided by 4-pot Brembo brakes while it is also reported that the coupe’s 1,700 kg (3,750 lbs) weight will be split 52% up front and 48% at the rear.
Specs aside, we also get the first picture of the Camaro’s interior which unlike the one found in the Challenger, bears no resemblances to other models of the Group. Hopefully, GM will drop the embargo and upload more pictures and information during the day. See images after the jump. Continued

A talented member of the Caymanclub forum named “K-Man S” came up with these pretty convincing digital renderings of the forthcoming Cayman S facelift model that’s expected to be introduced sometime in 2009. The styling changes performed by “K-Man S” include new fog lights and Carrera GT inspired head lights up front combined with new tail-lamps and a different design for the lower bumper and exhaust pipes at the rear-end. Big-bucks enthusiasts annoyed that they’re not the only ones at the club with a Veyron can now ensure that they arrive in total exclusivity. That’s because the one-off Maybach Exelero, commissioned by Fulda to act as a high-profile demonstrator for its tire line of the same name, is now for sale. The Exelero isn’t some delicate flower of a show car. Based on the Maybach 57 and powered by a 700-horsepower version of that car’s turbocharged V12, the Exelero reached 218 mph at Nardo. In many ways, Exelero represents what Maybach could have and should have been — a place where daring styling and incredible performance could merge with extreme luxury to compete with Rolls-Royce and Bentley. Instead, while the marque’s sedans clearly get the luxury part of the equation right, in terms of styling, they basically work in anonymity, looking like peculiar old S-Class sedans. There’s nothing anonymous about the Exelero, though, and for €5,000,000 (around $7.8 million USD), you can drive the sybaritic supercar that Daimler should have given Maybach all along. If you’re thinking about dropping $1.5 million on a set of wheels, would a special edition really tip the scales one way or another? Well, Bugatti evidently thinks so. After having produced the Pur Sang and the Fbg par Hermès editions, the ultra-premium auto marque revealed the Sang Noir last month.
Now, after disgruntled U.S. buyers lost out on the opportunity to buy the Pur Sang when it sold out to an invited group of European customers in Paris, Bugatti has announced that its American clientele will get first crack at the limited run of 15 Sang Noir Veyrons before they’re offered elsewhere in the world. And who said holding American citizenship isn’t worth what it used to be?

Emerging reports suggest that Ferrari could go one (or both) of two ways with its next range-topper. One approach is reportedly being based on the Millechili concept, which as you’ll recall was essentially a chopped-down Enzo crafted out of cardboard and plastic holding the promise of environmentally-friendly specs. The production vehicle is tipped to be based on the F430’s platform – remember that the 288 GTO and F40 were based on modified 308 underpinnings – but feature a 600hp V10 in a lightweight 1000kg package, with a lengthened wheelbase of around 104 inces, a $500,000 price tag and a production run of 300.
While reports suggest that a second supercar could appear based on the FXX development program, we think it far more likely that one vehicle will prevail, borrowing on themes and components from both the Millechili and the FXX test-bed.

Every year, Shell organizes an EcoMarathon, where the aim is to run a vehicle as far as possible on a single liter of gasoline. While the first target in 1977 was 680 km (something like 1634 mpg), recent winning vehicles could (at least theoretically) drive from Paris to Beijing on about a gallon of gasoline. The next EcoMarathon will be held in Nogaro, France.
One of the teams, made up of students from the Universitat Politècnica de València, Spain, contacted us to showcase their entry: the EcoCustom. The most evident innovation is how “conventional-looking” the car is, but last year they still managed a test result of 385 km on a single liter (925 mpg). The team expects to surpass the 500 km/l figure for the next competition, to keep CO2 emissions at minimum.
What are they using? The base engine is a 4-stroke Honda GX 35 on an aluminium frame (or titanium if budget allows it) with synthetic fabric body. It’s got lightweight rims, double circuit brakes, transmission, steering, electrics, telemetry and high-speed bearings.
