Where have LB Performance been all this time? The Japanese tuner says it’s been in business doing its thing since 1993, but this is the first time we’ve come across them. Guess the web is one big ocean of information. The work they do to the Lamborghini Murcielago is seriously envy-worth, appearing to be of exceptional standard and positive aggression.

The first photographs of the 2009 Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 Spyder made their way into the internet this morning ahead of the car’s scheduled debut at the 2008 Los Angeles Auto Show that opened its doors today to the members of the press. Following in the likes of the Gallardo LP560-4 Coupe, the drop-top Spyder features a series of styling and mechanical upgrades including a more powerful V10 engine. Cosmetic updates concern the redesigned front bumper, the new taillights and the different alloy wheels.

Emerging reports indicate that Lamborghini is currently in negotiations with the suits at its corporate superior Volkswagen to put the Estoque into production. The four-door Lamborghini concept was unveiled last month at the Paris show after a drawn-out parade of teasers, but with no actual engine unde-hood and little in the way of specifications revealed, most surmised that the Estoque was just a flash-in-the-pan publicity gimmick. Not so, according to the company’s R&D chief Maurizio Reggiani, who confirmed to British weekly Autocar that the company is in the process of making a business case to the VW executive board. If approved, the Estoque could hit showrooms by late 2011 with a UK sticker quoted at around £150k, which lies in between the Gallardo’s £135k British list price and the Murcielago’s £220k.

The cold hard truth for western countries is that China is on well on track to becoming the most powerful economy in the world. Acknowledging this fact, Lamborghini decided to establish a new branch in China in the country´s capital city Beijing that will start operations at the beginning of 2009. Currently, the Italian sports carmaker has three dealers located in Shanghai, Guangzhou, Beijing, one in Hong Kong, and another two will be shortly be opened in Chengdu and Qingdao. The company’s China sales this year a expected to grow by 186% or from 27 cars in 2007 towards 80 in 2008. Continued

The world’s coolest police car is going out of action only to be replaced by an even cooler one. In a private ceremony in Italy, Lamborghini donated a police version of the company’s newest super sports car, the 2009 Gallardo LP560-4 Polizia, to the head of the Italian State Police, Prefect Antonio Manganelli. The new that Lambo replaces the previous Gallardo in use by the Italian police force since 2004 has a more powerful 560HP V10 engine and it can reach speeds of up to 203 mph or 327 km/h. The car will be used by the Lazio Highway Police Department. We don’t know about the Lazio cops, but if we were in their shoes we’d be constantly chasing ghosts… Continued

The wait is finally over as we have the first official images of the long-awaited and over-teased Lamborghini Estroque that was unceremoniously revealed ahead of its scheduled world debut at the 2008 Paris Motor Show on Thursday, October 2. As many predicted, the Estroque is a four-door coupe equipped with a front-mounted engine.
Rumor has it that the Estroque is equipped with the Audi RS6 / Lamborghini Gallardo derived V10 engine but bear in mind that this isn’t official information. However, there’s no need to worry as it’s only a matter of hours before Lamborghini officially unleashes the Estroque.
