According to BMW blog, all 2009 American BMW models will have Google Maps integration that will be accessible to the driver or passenger to search for businesses from the dash. Directions can be easily input to the car’s navigation system and calls can be placed easily inside the vehicle thanks to the in-car Bluetooth. All this will be possible courtesy of AT&T’s GSM network. The convenience comes at a price of $199 annually so its not exactly a bargain. But some of the other perks included in this package for the price is the standard BMW Assist that offers functions like locating your car if its stolen or contacting emergency assistance if you’ve has an accident. So all in all you get what you pay for. But for those of you who have you’re priorities in order the important thing is you can search the net to your heart’s delight.
