Mercedes-tuner BRABUS has put together a winning pair for the Geneva Motor Show. This time it’s a Mercedes SLR McLaren and a Smart Fortwo. The SLR McLaren gets a new white carbon fiber bodykit, 20-inch alloy wheels, special interior and an upgrade to the 5.5 Liter supercharged V8 that boots power to 650 hp and helps propel the roadster to a top speed of 211 mph. The matching Smart becomes the ULTIMATE 112, referring to the increase in power to 112 horsepower at 5,600 rpm. The Smart also gets a matching exterior treatment along with the lipstick-red BRABUS Mastik letaher interior and black Alcantara touches. Though sold separately, we think they’re a steal when purchased for the package price of $1,062,000. More pics and press release below.

G-POWER has done it again. The M3 Hurricane can now be named the fastest sedan in the world, breaking a long-standing record of the Brabus Rocket. Back in March, we wrote about G-Power’s tuning program, named “Hurricane”, and also about their 730 horsepower M5.

At the time, the M5 ran the track with a top speed of 200 mph, but G-Power had bigger plans for their M5. In November 2008, G-POWER M5 Hurricane RS achieved a top speed of 228.4 mph (367,59 km/h). The previous 227.2 mph (365,7 km/h) hold by the Brabus, has been broken. The test took place on tracks in Papenburg.

While the Brabus has a V12, G-Power uses only a simple V10 from the shelves of BMW and modified this engine with other two superchargers from G-POWER’s technology partner ASA, with enlarged capacity.

According to G-POWER the BI-Kompressor system could be raised from 0,7 bar rel. to 0,8 bar rel., but the system has not reached its limit yet. Companies representatives confirmed that if needed,  the system could be improved and the M5 Hurricane could be taken to a whole new level.

Which level that might be, time will tell. We’re almost positive that Brabus has something in-works to regain the lost status.

The BRABUS edition of smart’s diminutive little fortwo is, as we like to say, officially official as of yesterday when the brand pulled the wraps off the new-for-USA model. Unlike the Europeans who have had access to BRABUS smarts for the last few years, we won’t be getting the force-fed 112-horsepower three-cylinder engine here in the States, but that means we get to keep the 41 miles per gallon efficiency of the standard smart fortwo. You win some, you lose some, right? It’s a nice package that definitely stands apart from other fortwo models thanks to its unique alloy wheels, monochromatic paint in either black or silver and numerous BRABUS emblems inside and out. Want one? It’ll cost you $17,990 for the coupe or $20,990 for the cabriolet, which initially strikes us as a fairly steep sum considering it comes with the same 70 horsepower engine of the standard smart. As of right now, only those with fortwo reservations are eligible for the new BRABUS, but that seems likely to change in the near future if the model continues to prove as popular as smart claims it has.

The first modified electric car comes from BRABUS - or at least that’s what the German firm that specialized until now on Mercedes-Benz and Smart models, supports in its press release. For its first take on an all-electric vehicle, BRABUS limited modifications to the Tesla Roaster’s interior/exterior styling and wheel/tire options.

However, the Germans did develop the so-called ’space sound generator’ system with which the occupants of the Tesla Roadsters can choose from several simulated engine sounds including that of a V8 engine, a racecar engine and two futuristic soundscapes named ‘Beam’ and ‘Warp’ - make a bet that someone will find a geeky hack? BRABUS claims that the volume of the sound depends on the momentary power output of the electric motor.

Perhaps you’ve heard: Mercedes-Benz has this new SUV called the GLK, and it’s not just the Sex and the City audience that’s being targeted. The compact ute’s getting-to-know-you tour will make a stop at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas, where four concept versions will be on display. We already told you about RENNtech’s hybrid Rally Racer show truck, and now we have some info on the other three versions that’ll join it in Vegas.

Naturally, BRABUS will represent, skinning the GLK300 Bluetec in Widestar duds, new wheels, and the de rigeur custom interior. No power upgrade yet, it seems, but knowing BRABUS, they’ll have a version putting out approximately a trillion horsepower by the time the GLK is in customers’ hands.

Boulevard Customs is prepping the GLK “Urban Whip”, a garish creation sporting 26″ wheels and a front end that likely depleted the world’s supply of mesh grillework. Lord knows what all the other SEMA builders are gonna do now that they’re faced with this crisis.

Finally, Legendary Motor Cars will show the Four Corners Rock Crawler, which rolls on big knobby rubber, has an integrated grille guard, and sports a set of roof lights. But all that’s dress-up, because off-roading’s not the angle. This GLK has some winch rig that lets it pull skaters into position to then grind on the truck’s integrated side rails.  BRABUS, the German tuner for anything that comes out of the Daimler factory has presented an extensive customization program for the newly launched in the European continent, 2009 Mercedes Benz GLK The program for Merc’s new compact SUV is pretty thorough including performance tuning for all engine variants - gasoline and diesel, a full bodykit, new alloy wheels with matching suspension solutions, and heaps of interior options. If you’re the kind of person who finds that the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG could do with a bit more oomph, then Brabus’ new tuning package might just do the trick for you. The German tuning firm’s new B63 S performance kit consists of free-flow high-performance metal catalysts, sport air filters and newly programmed ECU with custom mapping for ignition and injection. Together these components result in an increase the standard 6.2-liter V8’s output from 457 HP to 530 HP while peak torque grows from 600 Nm to 650 Nm (442 to 479 lb-ft). According to Brabus, the sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) is shortened from 4.5 to 4.1 sec while 200 km/h (124 mph) is reached after 13.1 sec, down from 14.5 seconds. Buyers can choose between two versions of the Brabus Vmax unit that allow the B63 S to reach a top speed of 300 or 315 km/h (188 or 197 mph).

In addition to the performance kit, Brabus also offers a wide range of accessories for the C63 AMG including a limited-slip rear differential, 19-inch wheels complete with Yokohama or Pirelli high-performance tires in size 235/35 in front and 265/30 on the rear axle, a height-adjustable coil-over suspension and 380mm brake discs with 12-piston aluminum fixed calipers on the front axle and 360mm discs with 6-piston aluminum fixed calipers on the rear.
