Chevrolet’s 2010 Camaro will naturally be making a stop at SEMA during its long march back to production. The new pony car will be on display in stock trim, and Chevy’s also bringing four modified versions to exhibit alongside the new and old Camaros that will be in attendance.

The V6-powered Camaro Black concept which was shown in teaser videos a few weeks ago will be in attendance, of course. It will be accompanied by the crate engine-equipped, 500-horsepower Camaro LS7 Concept, which has been outfitted for drag racing in the spirit of the Yenko Camaros of the 1960s. A road-racing Camaro has been envisioned in the Racecar Concept, suggesting that the Camaro could soon be doing battle on the track with its old rivals. Lastly, Dale Earnhardt, Jr. was allowed to express his love of all things Camaro with the Camaro Dale Earnhardt Jr. Concept, which has been tweaked to run on E85 and modified for entertaining street cruising. In recent weeks, GM has sent us several teaser videos of a Camaro specially prepared by their Performance Parts team for SEMA next month. We lovingly decided to pass on them because they showed nothing that interested us. But now, they finally released something that we can sink our teeth into.

Although no information has been released yet, we can see in these sketches of the Camaro “Black”, some distinguishing body modifications such as front bumper lower splitter, glowing red angel eye headlamps, side skirts, monolithic 5-spoke rims and rear bumper fascia with diffuser and rectangular exhaust tips.

Other mechanical and body bits being upgrade, as seen in the videos include exhaust headers, Hurst shifter, big brake upgrade, suspension, fuel injectors, full paint job with custom vinyl graphics and something with the interior. Stay tuned. Continued

 A few days after the Camaro went officially on sale in the States, GM of Canada announced that starting Thursday, Oct. 16, 2008, Chevy dealers across the country will also begin accepting customer pre-orders. Production is scheduled to begin in February 2009 at GM’s Oshawa, Ontario Car Assembly Plant, with dealership deliveries beginning immediately afterwards. Canadian pricing and specifications for the 2010 Camaro will be released in the following weeks, but just so you can get an idea, in the U.S. the sticker for the V6-powered LS starts at $22,995 US while the price for the V8-powered SS has been set at $30,995 U.S. Continued

GM has released pricing for its all-new 2010 Camaro as customer ordering opened today, Monday October 13. The 2010 Camaro starts at $22,995 MSRP for the V6-powered LS model, and $30,995 for the V8-powered Camaro SS with both prices including a $750 destination charge. Production will begin in February 2009 with first deliveries expected to hit dealer lots shortly after. Continued

Not that we haven’t seen the 2010 Camaro Coupe’s specifications, packages and available options before (thanks to a series of leaks), but this time its official as Chevrolet uploaded the Camaro’s buyers guide on its dedicated website as it gets ready to greet customers on Monday, October 13th. Chevy’s dealers across the U.S. will be able to put your order in for the 2010 Camaro Coupe but bear in mind that you’ll have to be patient as the first cars won’t be arriving before spring 2009. The always-keen to promote any 2010 Camaro material that officially or unofficially falls into their hands folks over at Camaro5 forums have obtained yet another document on Chevy’s neo-retro muscle car. This time it’s the 2010 Camaro’s standard and optional equipment list, a guide that’s use is supposed to be limited for sales personnel only. Whatev. Check out the scanned list after the jump.

 At this past weekend’s Indy Bash event at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Chevy re-(multiply by ten times)-introduced the new Camaro to thousands of GM fans. Among those to answer GM’s callings were the folks over at Camaro5 forums that happily put their cameras to work. Aside from the Camaro RS and the Transformer Movie Bumblebee, GM also brought to Indy the top-off-the-line Camaro SS that’s equipped with a 422HP 6.2-liter V8. In this new set of pictures from the crew at Camaro5, we get to see more details of the SS’ two-tone interior with the overly tacky plastic red panels reminding us that bad taste has no boundaries.
