Overall, Fiat built just 12 examples of the 500 F1 Limited Edition all of which have been pre-booked by selected customers from Singapore. Fiat 500 by DIESEL on sale in Europe

500 by diesel, 500ByDiesel, by diesel, ByDiesel, DIESEL, fiat, fiat 500, Fiat500

Starting today, Europeans will be able to order the Fiat 500 by DIESEL. Yes, we know the car’s already offered with a diesel, but we’re not referring to the MultiJet engine here. This is a two-year special run done in partnership with the Italian clothing company. This style exercise is supposed to transform the 500 into an ‘Urban Survival Vehicle.” Apparently, all that’s required for “urban survival” are some DIESEL logos, new trim on the bumpers and bodywork, exclusive wheels, three paint colors, and a dressed-up interior. 100-horsepower cars also get yellow brake calipers. Seeing as how 10,000 “by DIESEL” cars are planned, we have a feeling that the folks who really want one will find a way to get one. This isn’t exactly as limited as some other 500s we’ve seen lately. Fiat 500 Diabolika by StudioTorino to be produced in 50 units

This awesome special edition Fiat 500 is the work of Alfredo Stola’s Studiotorino coachbuilding and design firm and from what we know, it will make its first appearance at the Paris Motor Show in October. Inspired from the famous Italian comic ‘Diabolik’, the Fiat 500 Diabolika is the 500’s evil twin. Designed and prepared by Studiotorino and Mycrom in collaboration with the publisher of Diabolik, Astorina, the particular 500 is based on the Sport edition of the Italian mini car. On the outside, the sinister looking 500 Diabolika is distinguished by the sexy matte black finish combined with Studiotorino’s signature matte red tail fins, the retro-look BORRANI spoke rims wrapped in special edition Pirelli tires hand cut and built with the Diabolik eyes shape logo , the Brembo brakes and of course the Diabolik insignias. Studiotorino has also fiddled around with the 500’s interior that boasts high-quality leather sport seats that have been digitally painted with images from the comic strip.

Additionally, Studiotorino has also upholstered the steering wheel, the gear and handbrake levers in matte black leather and bright red stitching while the gearbox knob is painted in a titanium color. Moreover, the 500 Diabolika features drawing from the comic strip on the sun covers, the roof even on the portable ashtray and the key fobs. According to our sources, Studiotorino plans on producing a total of 50 units of the 500 Diabolika each of which will feature an individually numbered limited-edition plaque

Fiat 500 Tender Two: Electric-Powered Beach Car

Milan-based coachbuilder Castagna has created a special study based on the new Fiat 500 that is in spirit of the original Ghia-built Fiat 500 Jolly, a relatively expensive beach car conversion of the 500 in the late 50’s – early 60’s that was intended primarily for enjoyment and marketed towards the rich and famous as yacht tenders, golf carts and estate runabouts .To create the Tender Two, Castagna’s designers removed the doors, rear-seats, tailgate and rooftop of the production car while in order to maintain structural rigidity, they raised and reinforced the 500’s side sills. The most prominent feature of the Tender Two is of course its removable striped canvas roof-top complemented by the nautical themed teak wood that covers the cargo area and the top part of the side sills. Additionally, the Tender Two features new upholstery.

However the coolest thing about the Fiat 500 Tender Two is hidden underneath the hood. In cooperation with Swiss company MES-DEA, Carozzeria Castagna has replaced the production 500’s powertrain with a zero-emission electric unit. The Italian firm claims that the 500 Tender Two has a top speed of about 130 km/h – 81 mph and a range of 140 km or 87 miles after a four hour charge of the batteries which should be more than enough to fool around in any Mediterranean island paradise.

Fiat Portofino Concept

It may look like as if it were stripped down for spare parts in some bad neighborhood, but the Portofino Concept that will be show at the Caravan Salon due to be held in Dusseldorf from August 29 to September 7 is actually inspired from the open-topped beach cars that were built onto small Fiat models by Italian coachbuilders in the 1960s. Based on the Fiorino, the Portofino Concept has not only lost its roof but also its doors that have been somewhat replaced by nautical ropes. To compensate for the structural loss, Fiat’s designers added a rollbar-like central ring.

Inside, the Portofino design follows a nautical theme with the interior flooring made out of wood. Other changes include the repainted dashboard and the new seats that have been upholstered with natural fibres treated using a special waterproofing process.

Although Fiat supports that the Portofino is just a study, the Italian automaker also said that a covered version will be available at a later stage for protection against sun and rain. In other words, don’t be surprised if Fiat decides in the near future to offer a production model based on this concept.
