The crew over at Hamann Motorsports has developed a new series of aluminum wheel designs for the 2009 BMW 7-Series sedan and the sinfully beautiful, Maserati Granturismo. In particular, Hamman introduced two different alloy wheel designs for the Bimmer and one set of 21-inch alloys for Italian coupe, all of which are available exclusively in a black finish. Hamann has yet to release further details but expect to see the German tuner providing an array of styling and mechanical upgrades for both vehicles in the very near future.

The BMX X6 is a tricky vehicle to classify. In photos, it can look like a hot-hatch on steroids. Up close, you see the SUV in the vehicle. It’s dimensions are even larger than the X5 and the only thing that cramps its cargo room to make it less than the X5 is the sloping hatch - a styling cue that makes the X6 unique and hard to pin down. The Swabian tuners over at Hamann have developed a new sport package for the Aston Martin V8 Vantage Coupe and Roadster models that includes an aerodynamic kit and various mechanical upgrades. Customers can choose between fiberglass and optionally, matt carbon materials for the body components that comprise a two-piece front spoiler, side skirts, a three-part rear diffuser and a boot lid spoiler. Hamann also offers a functional roof scoop, but unless you’re going for a boy-racer look, we wouldn’t advise it. The aero kit is accentuated by a new set of 21-inch three-piece alloy wheels with 245/30ZR21 tires at the front and 295/25ZR21 tires at the back along with a sport suspension that lowers the center of gravity of the V8 Vantage by 30 mm at the front axle and by 20 mm at the rear axle.
For those that would like to match the upgraded looks with more power under the hood, the German tuning firm has retuned the ECU giving the outgoing 2008 Vantage’s 4.3-liter V8 a 23 HP boost to 408 HP and the 2009 model’s 4.7-liter V8 a 30 HP increase to 450 HP. Hamann says that it has also developed new sports exhaust system that adds an extra 20 HP to the overall output of the 2009 model.

Just like rival tuner AC Schnitzer, Hamann Motorsports has also revised its sport package for the facelifted BMW 6-Series. The German tuner offers two aerodynamic kits for the 6-Series, a basic package that includes side skirts and front, rear and roof spoilers, and a more aggressive styling kit called “Edition Race”. The latter adds new front wings, 4-part wing broadenings in the back and larger side skirts for a more “touring car” look.
For those who wish to combine looks with a bit more oomph, Hamann Motorsports offers a new ECU unit for the 630i, 650i and the diesel 635d that raises output by 21 hp. Moreover, customers can opt for the abolition of the electronic speed limiter which enables the 650i to boost its top speed from 250 to 270 km/h (168 mph).
And if that isn’t enough, you can also add a sport exhaust system, 20 or 21-inch alloys in various designs along with a series of interior accessories that include a 3-spoke sport steering wheel with an air-bag, a black instrumental dial with a scale up to 300 km/h as well as matching pedals, leg rests and hand brake handles made of aluminium.
